Job Description
We are seeking a board-certified or eligible Physiatrist (PM&R) to join an Acute Rehabilitation Unit in Sacramento, CA, as a 1099 independent contractor. This role involves managing a steady inpatient caseload of 20+ rehab patients, providing daily coverage, leading assessments, and discharge planning, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. A key aspect is facilitating patient discharges to partnered skilled nursing facilities, with optional rounding at those facilities. The position offers flexible scheduling, a per-patient rate, and full autonomy. Candidates must have an MD or DO with PM&R training, active California licensure, and experience with inpatient rehab diagnoses. Prior SNF relationships and CMS compliance knowledge are pluses.
