Job Description
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Physiatrist (PM&R) to join an Acute Rehabilitation Unit at UC Davis as a 1099 independent contractor. Provide daily inpatient coverage for a steady caseload of 20+ rehab patients. Lead admissions, progress notes, family meetings, and discharge planning. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and facilitate discharges to partnered skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). Optionally round at SNFs to ensure continuity of care. Maintain strong communication with hospital and rehab teams. The role offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay per patient, and autonomy. Requirements include an MD or DO with PM&R training, active CA license, and experience managing neuro and post-surgical diagnoses.
