Job Description
We are seeking a board-certified or eligible Physiatrist (PM&R) for a part-time, flexible role at a Sacramento-based Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU). Provide daily inpatient coverage for a steady caseload of 20+ rehab patients. Lead admission assessments, progress notes, family conferences, and discharge planning. Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team and facilitate discharges to partnered skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). Optionally round at SNFs to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with hospital and specialist teams. Qualifications include an MD/DO with PM&R training, active California license, and inpatient rehab experience. Local candidates or those willing to relocate/commute are preferred. Bonus points for prior IRF experience and SNF relationships. Compensation is per-patient, with a negotiable rate, offering control over scheduling and no non-compete.
