Job Description
We are seeking a board-certified or eligible Physiatrist (PM&R) to provide inpatient rehab care at a leading academic Acute Rehabilitation Unit in Sacramento, CA. Manage a steady caseload of 20+ patients, including daily rounds, admission assessments, progress notes, discharge planning, and family conferences. Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team and facilitate smooth transitions to partnered skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) for post-acute care. Optionally round at SNFs to support ongoing patient care. Must hold MD or DO, active CA license, DEA registration, and be comfortable managing common rehab diagnoses. Flexible schedule, built around inpatient caseload, with competitive per-visit compensation as a 1099 independent contractor. Ideal candidates have rehab experience, local ties, or relationships with SNFs; bonus for familiarity with CMS IRF requirements.
