Job Description
We are seeking a board-certified or eligible Physiatrist (PM&R) to join an Acute Rehabilitation Unit in Sacramento, CA, as a 1099 independent contractor. Provide daily inpatient coverage for a steady caseload of 20+ rehab patients, including admission assessments, progress notes, family conferences, and discharge planning. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and facilitate smooth discharges to partnered skilled nursing facilities, with optional rounding at SNFs. Manage inpatient rehab diagnoses such as stroke, SCI, TBI, and post-surgical recovery. Work with local hospital teams to ensure continuity of care. The role offers flexible scheduling, a competitive per-patient rate, and autonomy. Requirements include an MD or DO with PM&R training, active CA license, and strong communication skills.
