Seeking a board-certified or eligible Physiatrist (PM&R) for a part-time, flexible role in an Acute Rehabilitation Unit in Sacramento, CA. As an independent contractor (1099), you will manage a consistent inpatient caseload of 20+ patients, providing daily coverage, leading admissions, progress notes, and discharge planning. Responsibilities include coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams, facilitating patient discharges to partnered skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and optionally rounding at SNFs. Requirements include an MD or DO with PM&R training, active CA license, DEA registration, and experience with inpatient rehab diagnoses. Bonus points for prior rehab experience and regional SNF relationships. Compensation is per-patient/visit, with rates negotiable, offering control over your schedule and no non-compete clauses.
