SUMMARY OF WORK: As the Physical Plant Director, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of Fraine Barracks planning which includes assigning, reviewing and evaluating duties and responsibilities of subordinate supervisors and staff in planning the operation and maintenance of physical plant services, operate the AIM program to manage daily and preventative maintenance work orders, implement a program of systematic maintenance checks on a wide variety of highly sophisticated building systems, that include hot water heating systems, chilled water-circulating system, fire suppression systems, air tempering system and HVAC controls, building management system and instruments, determine priorities and schedule major projects to ensure efficient plant operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position is being posted internally only. Applicant must be a current state employee of the Office of the Adjutant General. To be eligible for this position, you will need a high school diploma or GED and six (6) years of work experience in the operation and maintenance of a complex physical plant. The experience must have included substantial responsibility for preventive and special maintenance of facilities, equipment and grounds, onsite review and coordination of contractor projects, interpreting blueprints and building plans, estimating costs and supervising a large staff. Requires familiarity with building codes; handling of infectious and hazardous materials and related regulations; or similar duties related to physical plant operations. Two years of work experience must have included responsibility for scheduling and lead work or supervision of other employees. College level coursework in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis. Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks and background investigation are required.
