COME JOIN BRYN MAWR VILLAGE REHAB TEAM! We provide services for SHORT TERM REHAB and LONG TERM REHAB RESIDENTS.BASIC FUNCTION Physical Therapist is Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment in compliance with state and federal regulations as prescribed by a licensed physician.Supervision of physical therapy assistants in accordance with state and federal guidelines.RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains state and federal requirements, professional guidelines, and the code of ethics for the profession of physical therapy and the provision of physical therapy services Maintains resident/patient confidentiality at all times according to HIPPA regulations Complies with all policies and procedures of the facility.Treats all residents/patients, families and staff with respect and dignity Provides physical therapy services on all residents/patients in accordance with physician orders Supervises to physical therapy assistants, aides and techs according to state and federal requirements and physical therapy practice acts.Practical working knowledge of the various pathological problems encountered Practical working knowledge of the facility's routines and procedures Practical working knowledge of Medicare billing and charges; and Highmark Local Coverage Determination Manual Coordinates and directs resident/patient care to ensure needs are met Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the Rehab Optima; operates and manages the system in accordance with position and defined role Documents and maintains records to meet regulatory standards and GRS policies Maintains productivity expectations Attends/participates in meetings in-services and/or committees as directed by Rehab Manager/Regional Director Assists in orientation and training of new employees as directed by Rehab Manager/Regional Director Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Able to build moral and group commitments to goals and objectives.Attitude - Maintaining a positive outlook in a professional manner while interacting with others in all situations and circumstances encountered and can influence others to follow.Initiative - Seeks increased responsibilities; Takes independent action.Creativity - Uses imagination to develop new and original ideas (i.e.motivate staff improve program development, recruitment and retention).Dress Code - Adheres to dress code and appearance is neat and clean OTHER DUTIES:As assigned and consistent with level of experience EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Graduate of an approved school of physical therapy Current state physical therapy licensure and credentialing CPR certification Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Intermediate computer skills PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Completes continuing education requirements as set forth by state and/or professional organization Maintains regulatory requirements, state and federal regulations and standards Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices Meets all health requirements as required by law Performs physical activities such as standing, sitting, lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, pulling, pushing, kneeling, crawling and reaching with a 50 lb weight limit.SKILLS:Knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology Knowledge of equipment operation, and maintenance of same in regard to the discipline of physical therapy.Collaboration with other member interdisciplinary team members to maximize resident/patient care Knowledge of federal, state, regulations and professional guidelines as they relate to the delivery of physical therapy services PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to move (walk, stoop, bend, stand, sit push, pull, and lift) intermittently throughout the workday.Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner.Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately, so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with patients, clients and team members.Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility.Must be able to lift patients, medical equipment, supplies, etc.to 50 lbs.Job Types:Part-time, PRN Pay:$55.00 - $65.00 per hour Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance License/Certification:Physical Therapy License (Required) Ability to Commute:Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 (Required) Work Location:In person.
