Job Description
Full-Time Physical Therapist – South Slope H&D Physical Therapy | Brooklyn, NY Location: South Slope, Brooklyn Schedule: Full-Time Better Begins Here. H&D Physical Therapy is a family-owned, therapist-led practice built on one belief: quality care starts with meaningful human connection. For more than 25 years, we’ve built our reputation through thoughtful clinical care, one-on-one treatment, and long-term relationships with our patients and community. We are not a high-volume clinic, and we do not believe great care happens when clinicians are rushed, double-booked, or reduced to productivity metrics. Our South Slope clinic continues to grow because patients value an experience that feels personal, attentive, and grounded in trust. We’re looking for a Physical Therapist who shares those values and wants to be part of a collaborative, supportive team that prioritizes clinical excellence and patient outcomes above volume. What You’ll Do You’ll work with a diverse orthopedic and neurological patient population, including: Post-operative rehabilitation Sports and overuse injuries Chronic pain and movement dysfunction Balance and neurological conditions Active adults and older adults seeking long-term wellness Responsibilities include: Performing thorough evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans Providing hands-on manual therapy and movement-based rehabilitation Delivering 45-minute one-on-one treatment sessions Educating patients and empowering them throughout recovery Collaborating with colleagues in a supportive clinical environment Maintaining timely and accurate documentation What Makes H&D Different One-on-One Care Every patient is treated individually in 45-minute sessions. No overlapping caseloads. No technician-driven care. Clinical Autonomy We trust our therapists to think critically, practice thoughtfully, and treat the whole person — not just symptoms. Collaborative Environment You’ll work alongside experienced clinicians who value mentorship, shared learning, and professional growth. Stability and Support Our front desk, billing, and operations teams handle the logistics so you can focus on patient care. Community Reputation Our clinics are deeply rooted in the neighborhoods we serve, with long-standing physician relationships and a loyal patient base built over decades. Compensation & Professional Growth We believe meaningful clinical work should be sustainable — both professionally and personally. H&D offers flexible compensation pathways, including opportunities for performance-based growth, designed to reward contribution while preserving our commitment to one-on-one care and clinical quality. Rather than chasing high-volume treatment models, we invest in creating an environment where therapists can build strong patient relationships, sharpen their clinical skills, and grow within a collaborative team. Additional benefits include Paid time off Continuing education support Mentorship and collaboration Consistent scheduling Opportunities for leadership and professional growth A supportive, therapist-led culture Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist in New York Direct Access eligible preferred (3+ years clinical experience) Strong orthopedic background required Manual therapy experience preferred Neurological rehabilitation experience a plus Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills A clinician who values empathy, professionalism, and relationship-driven care Who Thrives Here Therapists who do well at H&D tend to value: Quality over volume Thoughtful, hands-on care Long-term patient relationships Team collaboration Calm, respectful clinic culture Being part of a practice where their voice matters We believe the best care happens when clinicians feel supported, trusted, and connected to the work they do every day. If that sounds like the kind of environment you’re looking for, we’d love to meet you.
