Job Description
LifePoint Health is seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to making communities healthier—particularly in non-urban settings—you will play a key role in helping patients regain function, mobility, and independence through evidence-based physical therapy services. In this role, you will evaluate patients with a variety of conditions, including orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and medical complexities, and develop individualized, goal-oriented plans of care. You will provide direct, hands-on treatment using therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait and balance training, and appropriate therapeutic modalities, while continually reassessing progress and adjusting interventions to achieve optimal outcomes. Working within LifePoint Health’s collaborative and community-focused culture, you will partner closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other allied health professionals to coordinate comprehensive, patient-centered care. You will educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, functional goals, safety, and home exercise programs, empowering them to participate actively in their recovery and long-term well-being. Daily responsibilities include completing thorough evaluations, documenting findings and treatment sessions in the electronic medical record in a timely and accurate manner, and managing a varied caseload across acute care, inpatient, and/or outpatient settings, depending on facility needs. You will adhere to all regulatory and professional standards, maintain strict infection control and safety practices, and contribute to quality improvement and best-practice initiatives within the department. This position offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a dynamic team environment where your clinical judgment and patient advocacy are valued. You will have the chance to develop strong relationships with patients and the broader community while supporting LifePoint Health’s commitment to accessible, high-quality hospital services. If you are a dedicated Physical Therapist who thrives in a collaborative, patient-focused setting and is passionate about community impact, we encourage you to apply and help us advance our goal of making communities healthier.
