Company Description Phoebe Putney Health System (PPHS) is a not-for-profit healthcare provider serving over half a million residents in Southwest Georgia. Complementary facilities include Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, a community hospital in Americus, and Phoebe Worth Medical Center, a critical access hospital in Sylvester. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physical Therapist role located in Albany, GA. The Physical Therapist will provide individualized patient care, including evaluating patients’ physical conditions, developing and implementing therapeutic treatment plans, and monitoring progress to ensure the achievement of rehabilitation goals. The role requires collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, maintaining accurate documentation, and educating patients and their families on exercises and preventive care techniques to optimize recovery and mobility. Participation in ongoing professional development and adherence to healthcare guidelines and standards are also expected. Qualifications Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, practices, and evidence-based treatment techniques Proficiency in assessing patient needs, developing tailored treatment plans, and monitoring progress Effective communication and documentation skills, including patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration Understanding of patient safety protocols, healthcare compliance, and ethical standards Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree, with current state licensure to practice in Georgia Experience in rehabilitation, orthopedics, or acute care settings is preferred Ability to demonstrate empathy, adaptability, and a patient-focused mindset Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advances in physical therapy practices
