Physical Therapist – Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) | PRN Outpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation Vanderbilt Health | Pi Beta Phi Rehabilitation Institute (PBPRI) Bill Wilkerson Center | Nashville, TN Join a Nationally Recognized Neuro-Rehabilitation Program Vanderbilt Health’s Pi Beta Phi Rehabilitation Institute (PBPRI) at the Bill Wilkerson Center is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist with Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) experience to join our Outpatient Adult Neuro-Rehabilitation team. This role is ideal for a Physical Therapist who is passionate about treating vestibular, balance, and neurologic disorders in a collaborative, academic medical center environment. Position Details Status: PRN (minimum commitment of 1 day per week) Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Monday–Friday (No weekends or holidays) Location: Pi Beta Phi Rehabilitation Institute (PBPRI) Bill Wilkerson Center | Nashville, TN Clinical Focus: Approximately 80% Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy / 20% Neurologic & Functional Rehabilitation About the Role As a Vestibular Physical Therapist at PBPRI, you will evaluate and treat adults with complex vestibular and neurologic conditions, including referrals from ENT, neurology, physiatry, and primary care. Common conditions include Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) Unilateral and bilateral vestibular hypofunction Persistent postural-perceptual dizziness (PPPD) Concussion and post-traumatic vestibular disorders Central vestibular disorders Imbalance, gait instability, and fall risk Visual motion sensitivity and dizziness with head movement Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive vestibular, balance, gait, and functional mobility evaluations Deliver evidence-based Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy interventions Implement canalith repositioning maneuvers, gaze stabilization, balance, and habituation programs Provide patient and caregiver education and fall prevention strategies Collaborate with an interdisciplinary neurorehabilitation team Participate in team meetings and care planning Supervise and mentor physical therapy students as applicable Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program Tennessee Physical Therapy license or eligibility Minimum 1 year of experience with vestibular and adult neurologic populations Advanced vestibular training preferred Strong clinical reasoning and patient-centered care skills Why Vanderbilt Health Nationally recognized academic medical center Complex referrals and diverse patient populations Collaborative, supportive interdisciplinary culture Continuing education and professional growth opportunities PRN benefits starting day one, including health coverage and retirement plans KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Analyzes comprehensive information from formal and informal assessment that is pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine a rehabilitation treatment diagnosis.
