Doctor of Medicine | Family Practice Location: Alaska Employer: Elite365 Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Make an impact where your clinical expertise and leadership shape patient care in a unique setting. This opportunity combines direct patient care with administrative oversight in a mission-driven healthcare environment serving the Alaska Department of Corrections. You’ll provide primary and higher-acuity care to a population with complex medical needs while supervising regional clinicians and participating in organizational policy development. Key Responsibilities Provide primary health care and infirmary-level care to inmates, including higher-acuity chronic care patients. Travel in-state for day visits to regional correctional facilities. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat illnesses or injuries, authorizing outside medical services as needed. Provide clinical supervision of regional nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Share phone backup call with other state physicians (1:3 weeks, typically 2 calls/day). Serve as a liaison with correctional administrators and staff. Participate as part of the leadership team in developing policies and serving as a medical-legal subject matter expert .
