This full-time, 7-on/7-off position at St. Joseph’s Hospital offers predictable evening shifts, providing an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality inpatient care within a collaborative, physician-led team. Opportunity Details Location: Syracuse, NY Setting: Hospital inpatient care at St. Joseph’s Hospital Schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM, 12-hour overnight shifts Rotation: 7-on/7-off over two weeks Duration: 2 weeks, with potential for extension Hours per week: 40 hours Clinical Scope Manage adult hospitalized patients exclusively overnight Perform admissions and manage inpatient care during night shifts Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations Document thoroughly in EPIC EMR Provide ICU rounding for hospitalist patients Monitor, respond to clinical changes, and respond promptly to emergencies Collaborate effectively with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams Ensure smooth discharge planning and follow-up care Focus on delivering patient-centered, high-quality inpatient care within a high-acuity adult environment Practice Environment Hospital-based inpatient care at a mission-driven, collaborative setting EMR: EPIC platform Strong subspecialty backup and support resources Managed within a physician-led, team-oriented hospitalist group Requirements MD degree with active, unrestricted NY Medical License Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Minimum inpatient hospitalist experience (no recent graduates) Prior night shift inpatient experience preferred Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Who This Works For NY-licensed providers with inpatient hospitalist experience Clinicians comfortable working overnight shifts in a hospital environment Professionals seeking a short-term, predictable overnight assignment within a supportive team Always Forward.
