Doctor of Medicine | Surgery - Orthopedic Location: Tucson, AZ Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Trauma Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon to join a high-performing team in Tucson, AZ. Position Highlights Provide Orthopedic Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (ACS) coverage Work alongside an experienced Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon partner 183 24-hour shifts annually Structured 7-day work stretches with built-in recovery time Balanced schedule with dedicated operating room time and follow-up clinic Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support for enhanced workflow and patient care Clinical Focus Management of high-acuity orthopedic trauma cases Required expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture management Deliver comprehensive surgical and post-operative care Collaborate with multidisciplinary trauma and surgical teams Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients with complex orthopedic trauma injuries Perform surgical procedures related to traumatic musculoskeletal conditions Participate in trauma call coverage and acute care surgery support Provide follow-up care in the outpatient clinic setting Work closely with APPs, nursing staff, and hospital teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain timely and accurate documentation Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship Demonstrated experience in high-acuity trauma care Strong expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture management Excellent communication and leadership skills Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Annual CME allowance: $2,500 Malpractice coverage provided
