Job Description A well-established hospital in Central New Jersey is seeking a Medical Director of Pathology & Clinical Laboratory Services to lead a collaborative, high-functioning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pathologist looking to combine clinical practice with leadership responsibilities in a supportive, stable environment. Position Highlights - Leadership role overseeing Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Services Manage a team of 2 Pathologists and 1 Pathologist Assistant Balanced role: ~85% clinical sign-out / 15% administrative General Surgical Pathology practice with manageable case volume Participation in Tumor Board and on-call rotation No autopsies required On-site PA support for grossing Collegial, team-oriented hospital environment Qualifications - M.D. or D.O. with Board Certification in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) Active New Jersey medical license (or ability to obtain) Minimum 2 years of Laboratory Director experience Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience with hospital operations, quality improvement, and medical staff functions Cytopathology experience preferred, not required Compensation & Benefits - Highly competitive salary Comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Retirement plan Paid malpractice coverage Generous PTO + CME allowance Relocation assistance available Location Highlights - Enjoy living and working in a safe, desirable Central New Jersey community offering: Excellent schools and family-friendly environment Affordable housing options Convenient access to NYC, Philadelphia, and the Jersey Shore Abundant dining, shopping, and recreational activities Why This Role?
