Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Physician Primary Location: Mercy LIFE Assisi House, Aston PA and Mercy LIFE Valley View, Elwyn, PA Status: Part time 20 hours per week Incentives: 1st Day Health Benefits Position Purpose: Under the supervision of the medical director, the Primary Care physician (PCP) provides primary medical care to PACE Organization (PO) participants, including assessment, development of a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provision of direct participant medical care, and evaluation of effectiveness of the plan of care. Functions in a collegial relationship with the other health care professionals, making independent decisions regarding medical needs and health regimens. Carries out medical procedures as indicated. Position Details: Mercy LIFE Assisi House is the retirement convent for the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. It is located across the street from Our Lady of Angels Convent, the congregation's motherhouse. A "person-centered care" approach fosters a sense of family throughout the 125 bed, multi-level care facility, which includes an Alzheimer's and Dementia unit. Mercy Life Valley View provides both housing and the Mercy LIFE PACE program for senior adults. This program provides services to a community specifically comprised of deaf seniors. Candidates must be willing to learn American Sign Language. This position will serve two 8 hour days at Assisi House and one 4 hous day at Valley View. Days worked during the week are flexible.
