Job Description
Job Overview The Pick-Up & Delivery Driver / Set-Up & Assembly Technician is responsible for transporting landscaping equipment to and from customer locations and assisting with the setup, assembly, and preparation of new equipment for delivery or display.This role supports customer satisfaction by ensuring equipment is delivered safely, assembled correctly, and ready for use while maintaining professional customer interactions and adherence to safety standards.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Pick up and deliver of Commercial & Residential outdoor power equipment to customer locations in a safe and timely manner.Load, secure, and unload equipment to prevent damage during transport.Assemble new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.Perform basic setup and pre-delivery inspections to ensure equipment is operational and ready for use.Provide basic operational instructions to customers upon delivery, as appropriate.Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures when required.Conduct routine vehicle safety checks and report maintenance needs.Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with showroom setup and equipment movement as needed.Support the service department with equipment staging and preparation.Help maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles and work areas.Assist with seasonal workload fluctuations and special projects.Other duties as assigned.COMPETENCIES Communication - Communicates clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers; provides basic equipment information and reports issues promptly.Customer Service - Represents the company positively during customer interactions; demonstrates courtesy, reliability, and a service-oriented mindset.Safety Awareness - Follows safety protocols when driving, loading, unloading, and assembling equipment; identifies and reports potential hazards.Teamwork - Works collaboratively with sales, service, and parts teams; assists others when needed to support efficient operations.Problem Solving - Addresses delivery, setup, or assembly issues by identifying practical solutions and communicating concerns to management.PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience Prior delivery, driving, warehouse, or equipment handling experience preferred.Experience assembling or operating outdoor power equipment a plus.Proven Skills Safe driving and vehicle operation.Ability to use hand tools for equipment assembly and setup.Demonstrated Skills Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Reliability.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is performed in vehicles, warehouses, service shops, and outdoor environments.Regular exposure to varying weather conditions.Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and equipment handling.Ability to lift, move, and secure equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds or more with assistance.Valid driver's license required; must meet company driving requirements.Pay:$19.00 - $21.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location:In person.
