Position Information Managing grant funding to support Honolulu's community programs The Department of Community Services (DCS), Grants Management Division, is seeking a grants professional to support the distribution, administration, and monitoring of City-funded programs. In this role, you’ll help ensure grant funds are awarded, managed, and used effectively to support community services. Minimum Qualification Requirements At the time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment. Education Requirement Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in public or business administration, economics or related field. Substitution: Work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelor's degree. For Example Four years of professional work experience, in any occupation, may substitute for a general bachelor's degree. Four years of general work experience (does not need to be professional level experience) in grant management and writing grants may substitute for a general bachelor's degree. Education must have been completed by the time of application in order to be credited. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at an accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, proper documentation, e.g., a foreign credential evaluation (FCE), must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.
