Opportunity: Work in a beautiful plant nursery and estate garden with 1000's of flowering plants. Job Description Work in maintenance of the landscape and property as well as working in the retail nursery, caring for plants, propagating plants, and helping customers. This job includes weeding, pruning, edging, brush-cutting, hauling, cutting wood, planting, and controlling blackberries and other invasives. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience with landscape plants and maintenance or has worked in a nursery or landscape maintenance company. Some landscape and nursery experience is required, however if the candidate doesn't have all of the qualifications, but is a hard worker, and willing to learn, I'll teach them. Qualifications · Experience in landscaping, plant nurseries, or garden centers strongly preferred. · Knowledge of plants that grow well in the pacific northwest (emphasis on perennials). · Willing to work hard - digging, weeding, etc, is part of the job Experience in maintaining landscapes including pruning, weeding, edging, planting, etc. · Must have experience using landscape maintenance tools, including edger, string trimmer, blower, backpack sprayer, etc. Also a benefit if can operate a chainsaw. · Experience fixing irrigation (spray and drip), building/ repairing retaining walls, and fixing landscape lighting · Physically able to do the work described.
