Plant Nursery Supervisor

OverviewJoin our dynamic and sustainable team as a Plant Nursery Supervisor and become a vital part of growing and selling native plants in the wholesale plant industry.This energetic role offers the opportunity to work outdoors, applying your skills to manage a variety of species of mostly native plants on a daily basis.If you are are passionate about plants and good with organization, this position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to growing sustainable South Florida Nursery.A good knowledge of plant horticulture will give you the keys to success in this position.Responsibilities Create strategies to work with clients at the nursery.Work with plants and soil.Conduct proper pruning, and removal of weeds and unwanted plants.Organize the display of different plant species for sale at the nursery Work with and communicate with other employees with plant propogation.Routinely check the health and status of different plants in the nursery.Document all information with the nursery manager.Skills Organizational skills are extremely important for this role.Working with the team in a collaborative way is a must.Famililarity with working with native plant species.Experience in gardening and horticulture practices.Proficiency with hand tools (shovels, pruners).Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.We value energetic team players who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about plants.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$20.24 - $26.78 per hour Benefits:Paid time off Work Location:In person.
