Job Description
We are hiring a bilingual (English/Spanish) Plant Safety Technician to support safety programs in a food processing facility.This is a hands-on role working directly on the production floor to help maintain OSHA compliance, monitor PPE use, investigate incidents, and promote a strong safety culture.This role is ideal for someone with food manufacturing experience who wants to grow into a safety career.What You'll Do ? Perform daily safety inspections in production and warehouse areas ? Monitor employees to ensure proper PPE use and safe work practices ? Assist with incident and near-miss investigations ? Maintain OSHA logs and safety documentation ? Help coordinate safety training and new hire safety orientation ? Support internal safety audits and compliance checks ? Participate in safety committee meetings and improvement initiatives ? Report food safety, animal welfare, and workplace safety concerns ? Submit maintenance requests for damaged equipment or unsafe conditions Requirements ? Bilingual English/Spanish (required) ? At least 1 year experience in a food processing or food manufacturing environment ? OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required ? Valid driver's license ? Basic computer skills (Excel, Outlook, data entry) ? Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Work Environment ? Production plant environment ? Standing and walking for extended periods ? Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs ? Exposure to production odors, chemicals, and ammonia Ideal candidates may have experience as:? Safety Assistant ?
