About the Role As a Plastics Molding Specialist, you will drive production efficiency by managing complex mold setups and optimizing injection and blow molding processes. You will serve as a technical expert, ensuring that manufacturing equipment operates at peak performance to support high-volume, precision production environments. Responsibilities Execute independent mold, cell, and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) setups to ensure seamless production transitions. Diagnose and resolve processing issues on injection and blow molding machinery to minimize unplanned downtime. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical support systems, including resin dryers, chillers, material loaders, and temperature control units. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operators and engineering staff, to refine manufacturing workflows and improve output quality. Utilize precision measurement instruments to verify part specifications and ensure adherence to rigorous quality standards. Document technical adjustments and process improvements to maintain consistency across production cycles. Qualifications Required Skills Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a plastics manufacturing or injection molding environment. Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting injection and blow molding equipment. Demonstrated ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools. Preferred Skills Experience with complex mold changeovers and cell optimization. Familiarity with automation handling equipment and auxiliary plastics processing systems. Proven track record of effective problem-solving in a fast-paced production setting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
