Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our plumbing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing bid documents, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure our projects are financially viable, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects while honing your skills in estimating and project management. Duties Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive estimates. Utilize industry-standard estimating software such as Trimble and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals. Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Engage in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate project budgets and assist in scope development. Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process and provide recommendations for cost control strategies. Assist in contract review and ensure estimates align with contractual obligations and project goals. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction management principles. Familiarity with estimating tools such as Trimble and Bluebeam is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for various types of construction projects. Experience working on construction sites or within a construction management environment is advantageous. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Knowledge of contracts, project management practices, and cost control techniques is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and suppliers.
