Job Description
Geronimo Hospitality Group is seeking a PM Facilities Maintenance Technician I to support our boutique hotels, restaurants, and event venues across the Hospitality & Travel industry. In this entry-level role within our Facilities & Maintenance department, you will help ensure our properties remain safe, comfortable, and well-maintained so that guests enjoy memorable experiences rooted in local flavors and cultures. Working primarily during afternoon and evening hours, you will respond to maintenance requests, perform routine inspections, and complete basic repairs in guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, and back-of-house areas. Typical work includes light electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, basic HVAC filter changes, and minor equipment troubleshooting. You will follow established work-order and preventive maintenance processes, document completed tasks, and communicate clearly with your supervisor and property teams. You will collaborate closely with operations, culinary, and front-of-house teams to minimize downtime and disruptions to service. When issues arise—whether it’s a guest room maintenance concern, a malfunctioning kitchen fixture, or a public-area repair—you will address them promptly, prioritizing safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. As a visible member of the property team in the evenings, you may interact with guests in a professional, courteous manner and coordinate with front-desk staff to access rooms or spaces. Geronimo Hospitality Group’s culture emphasizes team spirit, innovation, and a commitment to exceptional hospitality. As a PM Facilities Maintenance Technician I, you will be encouraged to share ideas that improve building reliability, guest comfort, and energy efficiency. You will learn from senior technicians and managers, building your technical skills while gaining exposure to a unique portfolio of boutique hotels, restaurants, and event venues. Key expectations include adhering to all safety guidelines, using tools and equipment properly, and following lockout/tagout and other safety procedures as trained. You will help maintain organized maintenance areas, track inventory of basic parts and supplies, and support vendors or contractors when specialized repairs are needed. The position requires the ability to work independently with moderate supervision, manage multiple work orders during busy periods, and remain calm and solutions-focused in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This is a full-time role with a consistent PM schedule that may include weekends and holidays based on business needs. In return, you will gain hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, opportunities for skill development and advancement within Geronimo Hospitality Group, and the chance to contribute directly to our promise of delivering exceptional guest experiences.
