Position Description The Data Analyst is responsible for the full life cycle of data analytics including requirements gathering, analysis design, data collection and cleaning, performing analysis, and reporting findings. This position will support the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) & Performance Management at the Office of the County Engineer and report to the Division Manager of PMO. The candidate is expected to analyze data using a variety of tools and data sources, including QuickBase, Power BI, Paginated Reporting (SSRS), Python, SQL, Excel formulas, as well as commercial cloud platforms such as Snowflake and Power BI’s Cloud Services (e.g., Data Flows and Dataverse). Job Duties: Collaborate to build scalable processes and metrics. Extract or mine data from a variety of data sources. Process, clean, and validate the integrity of data for analysis. Analyze large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions. Provide information on analytic results to functional leaders using visualizations including Power BI, data maps etc. Present results in a clear manner Propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges. Liaison with Business and IT teams All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Must possess the ability to learn and understand project management principles and processes Must possess Intermediate or excellent skills with Microsoft products and can interact with computerized systems to manipulate data and create reports Prior experience with writing and analyzing business and system requirement documents that convey complex business analysis and technology solutions Experience in forecasting, financial, and project analysis combined with an understanding of key performance indicators NOTE: Qualifying education, experience, knowledge and skills must be documented on your job application.
