Pole Barn Sales & Project Consultant Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: Base + Commission or Commission-Based (depending on experience) Position Overview We are looking for a motivated and dependable Sales & Project Consultant to help grow our Amish-built pole barn company. This position is ideal for someone with sales experience who also understands construction, building projects, or the agricultural industry. The right candidate should be comfortable meeting with customers, discussing project ideas, using computers and project managment software systems (this is a must!), and helping guide projects from initial conversation to signed contract. Previous builder, construction, or pole barn experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Follow up on leads using our custom CRM and Pipeline software through referrals, networking, local outreach, and company-provided opportunities Be ready to meet with customers on-site to discuss project goals, layouts, options, and budgets Recommend practical building solutions based on customer needs Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and project recommendations in quick turnaround Maintain communication and follow-up throughout the sales process Use email, estimating software ( SmartBuild is essential ), CRM systems, and other digital tools to manage customers and projects Coordinate with office staff and production teams for smooth project handoff Build long-term customer relationships through honesty, professionalism, and strong communication Work closely with the owner in building stronger sales systems to see improved close rates Work closely with our marketing team for increased speed-to-lead sales techniques Qualifications Previous sales experience required Construction, agricultural, builder, or related industry experience preferred Pole barn or post-frame building experience is a major plus Strong communication and people skills Comfortable and quick using computers, email, software systems, and digital communication tools Self-motivated, organized, and dependable Able to work independently and manage time effectively Comfortable meeting customers on-site and working in the field Valid driver’s license required Compensation & Benefits Competitive commission structure with strong earning potential Optional base salary or draw, depending on experience Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding local company Locally focused business with strong community relationships and reputation Why Join Us We are a relationship-driven company that takes pride in quality workmanship and treating customers the right way.
