Job Description
Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Polysom Tech, you will perform diagnostic sleep procedures per physician orders and established protocols. Every day you will set up the lab, prepare patients, conduct and evaluate polysomnograms, score sleep staging, assist with data tabulation, and monitor/adjust equipment. To be successful, you will possess thorough knowledge of sleep monitoring equipment, maintain skills through education, and participate in quality assurance under Sleep Lab Manager supervision, ensuring diagnostic accuracy and patient safety. Reviews the patient’s history, verifies the medical order and determines the testing parameters/procedures. Selects appropriate equipment and calibrates for testing. Performs sleep study and documents routine observations. Implements appropriate interventions during the study as needed.
