Position: Principal Department: Academics Supervisor: District Instructional Coordinator Salary Range: Board approved pay scale Status: Exempt Travel: As Needed Supervises: See current RMA Board approved organizational chart GENERAL DESCRIPTION: To carry out the mission RMA - Texas by directing and managing the instructional program and supervising general operations for the assigned school site. To provide leadership which will result in an instructional program that meets the needs of all students while operating at a high academic level. QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred. A strong major in education, administration or curriculum/instruction with a working knowledge of academic and administrative use of computers. A valid state administrator's certification preferred. A combination of at least ten (10) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher and as a supervisor A proven ability to relate to a variety of constituencies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated leadership and management ability. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Corporate Board may deem appropriate.
