Dr. PoolLittle
Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Pool Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of swimming pools, ensuring they are clean, safe, and functioning properly. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. I'm looking to hire my right hand man/woman, someone I can trust, someone who understands the dynamics of a startup and is thus flexible. Basically I'm hiring someone to be me minus the adminstrative side of things which I will transition out of the field and primarily focus on. Previous experience is a plus but neogitable. What isn't neogitable is honesty, being a hard/thorough worker, and an independent self starter. Responsibilities Perform routine pool cleaning and maintenance tasks, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing pool surfaces. Inspect pool equipment for functionality and safety; conduct necessary repairs or replacements. Maintain chemical balance in pools by testing water quality and adding appropriate chemicals. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks. Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients regarding their pool needs. Document service visits and maintain records of repairs, maintenance performed, and chemical treatments. Stay updated on industry best practices for pool maintenance and safety standards. Requirements Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in pool maintenance is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques and equipment repair methods. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driver's license is required for travel between job sites. This next hire will be our most important hire. We are willing to pay for industry education, provide industry top pay, and even give equity to the right candidate. This isn't just a job it's a chance to own a part of your own company. Your hard work won't just be going toward making the CEO rich but will give you the opportunity to see the fruits of your hard work as well. I pay my employees before I pay myself because I buy into the idea of building something big, I buy into putting the company first. I don't expect the next hire to be as fully emotionally invested in the company as I am but they need to care. A great employee can help the company thrive- 1 bad one can put you out of business.
