Job Description
Job Overview Join our team as a Pool Technician and become a vital part of maintaining sparkling, safe, and well-functioning swimming pools.In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for performing routine pool maintenance, cleaning, and equipment repairs to ensure optimal operation and safety standards.Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment for pool users and uphold the highest quality standards through proactive service and technical skill.This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in pool care while making a tangible difference in our community's recreational spaces.Responsibilities Conduct regular pool cleaning, including skimming debris, vacuuming, brushing surfaces, and maintaining water clarity.Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as checking water levels, balancing chemicals, and inspecting filtration systems.Diagnose and repair pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators using hand tools and power tools.Maintain detailed records of service activities, chemical treatments, and repairs for each pool.Identify potential issues early by monitoring equipment performance and water quality; address problems promptly to prevent larger repairs.Assist with opening and closing pools seasonally or as needed to ensure safety and operational readiness.Follow safety protocols diligently to protect yourself and others during all maintenance activities.Must be able to meet either in Lakewood, NJ at the warehouse or Manahawkin home base.Qualifications Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair or maintenance.Prior experience as a service technician or in pool maintenance is highly preferred but will to train the right candidate.Strong understanding of pool cleaning techniques, chemical balancing, and water chemistry fundamentals.Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment required for repairs.Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and perform repairs accurately.Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality work.Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in pool care while providing exceptional service.Join us in creating safe, clean, and enjoyable aquatic environments that everyone can enjoy!
