Porter/Housekeeping Reports to:Casino Shift Manager; Maintenance & Facilities Manager Job description Summary:Our goal as a business is to provide a clean, safe and fun environment for our guests to enjoy.It is every employee's responsibility to make certain that our casinos are kept clean and tidy for our customers to enjoy.If you see something that needs to be done to improve the condition of our facilities, you should take care of that task, unless otherwise occupied in the normal performance of your duties.This type of extra effort is mandatory if we are to succeed at our business.In addition, the Porter is responsible for the following duties:All Porter applicants and employees must be able to lift up to 35 lbs, stand 95% of a 10-11 hour shift, write, speak, see and hear clearly.Employees must be able to speak conversational English to communicate with Management for essential job functions.AM SHIFTS:? Please check in frequently with your CSM to see if there are any special tasks that need to be completed on shift; let the CSM know of all breaks/lunches, and when you go to the other property.? Vacuum all carpeted areas in the buildings - including STAIRS.Push in Slot Chairs.? Spot-check restrooms from night before and clean/stock as needed prior to opening at 8am.? Dump smoker ashtrays out front once per shift.Make sure to dump in a bucket of water to avoid fires.? Please wash blue rags & mop heads regularly on your shift and make sure both houses are stocked and ready for the next shift with clean rags & mop heads.(washing machine and dryer upstairs at EZ) ? Feminine products filled in all dispensers.? Clean and vacuum break rooms.Use Spic N Span and blue rags to wipe down all surfaces.? Front Windows & doors - cleaned.There is a window cleaner and squeegee to use for this.? Refill moist towelettes, hand sanitizer, tissues (supplies found in Porter closets).? Check with Admin offices to remove trash and vacuum.? Deep cleaning rotations - see charts for details and follow supervisors directions.? Dust mop the bar area.Wet mop bar areas.? Fill ice in all soda machines throughout your shift, and once at the end of your day shift.? Wipe down slot bases and stools (Spic N Span) , and between all slot machines - pick up trash and wipe down in between slot machines.? Look around with fresh eyes on your shift and make sure things are neat and tidy in appearance.Push in chairs during the entire shift, spot clean as needed.? Check sidewalks - shovel and salt if needed in the winter.Fill out the snow removal log in the Property's Porter closet.? Sweep debris/cigarette butts regularly to keep sidewalks free of trash.? Dust top of slot machines using a Swiffer.? Clean elevator.If the elevator needs a vacuum lock the elevator in place to complete vacuuming.? Spot clean all doors and windows using the glass cleaner, and other glass or mirrors as well.? Sweep and pick up all trash from the floor and between machines on casino floor throughout shift.? Return used glassware to the bar as needed.? Check restrooms hourly.Restock if the rolls are more than empty replace, clean, mop with bleach as necessary (bleach/water mixture of one cup of bleach per gallon of water and mop frequently throughout the shift and as needed in emergencies).? As time allows, polish brass using Brasso.? Clean mirrors with window cleaner and dust around casino using the swiffer - this includes fake plants, stairwells, light fixtures, doorknobs, doors, mirrors, pictures etc.? Clean slot stools with damp cloth during slow business periods; clean stool bases during winter frequently using the Spic N Span.? Check the to-do lists and initial tasks when completed so we know who did them.? Empty all trash throughout the casino and bar areas as necessary throughout your shift.The bar trash will need to be emptied more frequently than others to avoid getting too heavy or broken glass.? Wipe down the exterior of the indoor trash cans with Spic N Span/blue rag as needed.?
