Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Partum Fresno, CA/ Los Angeles, CA/ Bakersfield, CA36 Hours/Week 12-Hour Shifts$70 - $75/hr13 weeks with possible extension Schedule 36 hours per week 3x12-hour shifts Mix of 2 night shifts 1 day shift rotation Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Post Partum Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, compassionate care to postpartum mothers and newborns.The RN will independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with professional standards, hospital policies, and the California Nurse Practice Act.This role requires strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and the ability to manage rapidly changing patient conditions in a hospital setting.Key Responsibilities Provide direct care to postpartum mothers and newborns Perform full nursing process:assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation Develop and update individualized patient care plans Monitor maternal and neonatal status and report changes promptly Administer medications safely, including controlled substances Respond to emergency situations and activate protocols when needed Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety standards Participate in quality improvement and nursing practice initiatives Patient Care Expectations Manage rapidly changing postpartum conditions Provide family-centered, compassionate care Support maternal-infant bonding and education Maintain safe, evidence-based nursing practices Requirements ? Active California RN License (required)? Minimum 3 years nursing experience (required)? BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced) required? Experience with Cerner EMR? Strong knowledge of nursing theory, pharmacology, and clinical practice?
