Available Position:PART-TIME, FULL-TIME 10-40 HOURS PER WEEK More hours may be required during holiday season (November-January) We are looking for a friendly and organized person to join our small team at the Badger Plaza Contract Post Office.Our post office meets the shipping needs of nearly 700 P.O.boxes, and a vast area of street addresses.We strive to provide excellent customer service by focusing on quality and customer relations.This position is at a locally owned and operated Contract Post Office, not a federal post office.Job Type:Part-time, Full-time, In-Person Pay:$17.00 per hour Expected Hours:10-40 hours per week, opportunity for more hours during holiday season Schedule:Required to work rotating Saturdays 8:00am - 3:30pm MAIL SHIFT:8:30am - 3:00pm (or end of mail sorting), Mon-Fri WINDOW SHIFT:12:30pm - 7:30pm Mon-Fri Shift hours are non-negotiable, number of days per week determines part-time status Duties:Sell and collect payment for products, such as postage and revenue stamps, postal cards, and money orders Receive and weigh letters and parcels, including pre-paid mail envelopes Compute mailing costs based on type, weights, and designation, and affix correct postage Keep till in order by recording and balancing daily transactions Register, certify, and insure letters and parcels Obtain signatures from recipients of special delivery mail; and Sort incoming and outgoing mail by type and destination and ensure it has correct postage.Benefits:Paid Sick Leave Minimum Qualifications:Customer service experience Strong organizational skills Strong attention to detail Must be able to meet the physical demands noted at the bottom of this job description Must be available on Saturdays Previous experience working in a distribution center or warehouse (preferred) High school diploma, or GED equivalent (preferred) Physical Demands:Bending, stooping and twisting Constant Squatting or kneeling Constant Moving around the post office Constant Communicate effectively through speech or writing Constant Accurately identify small writing or markings Constant Pushing/Pulling Frequent Sitting or standing in a stationary position for long periods of time Constant Reaching above shoulder level Frequent Climbing stairs and/or ladders Frequent Repetitive motions Frequent Grasping, gripping, or pinching with hand(s) Constant Lifting/transporting heavy items, up to 75lbs Frequent Pay:$17.00 per hour Application Question(s):Are you able to work rotating Saturdays from 8:00am-3:30pm?
