Department/Unit Molecular & Cellular Physiology Work Shift Day (United States of America) Salary Range $0.00 - $0.00 The DiPersio Research Group is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Postdoctoral Fellow to join a fast-paced, translational research program focused on a disease driven by mutations in the ITGA3 gene. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to mechanistic discovery and therapeutic development in a dynamic and supportive research environment. Qualifications Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field (required) Strong background in cell and molecular biology techniques Experience with animal models (preferred), or willingness to learn Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team Key Responsibilities Design, plan, and execute independent research projects under the guidance of the Principal Investigator Perform and optimize experiments using cell culture systems, molecular biology, and biochemical approaches Develop and utilize genetically engineered mouse models, including colony management and experimental procedures Analyze, interpret, and rigorously document experimental data; maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records Prepare reagents, culture media, and laboratory materials necessary for ongoing experiments Critically review scientific literature to inform experimental design and troubleshoot methodologies Collaborate with the PI and lab members to refine research strategies and adapt protocols as needed Present research findings at lab meetings, institutional seminars, and scientific conferences Prepare manuscripts, figures, and grant-related materials for publication and funding submissions Train and mentor graduate students, technicians, and other laboratory personnel Ensure compliance with institutional safety, biosafety, and animal care regulations This position is ideal for a candidate interested in translational science and contributing to impactful research with clinical relevance.
