Poultry House Caretaker

House/Barn Employee - Full Time (1st Shift) Weaver Brothers Inc.currently has openings for full-time House/Barn Employees.House/Barn Employees are responsible for the health, welfare, and proper operation of poultry houses/barns.This is a 1st shift position requiring 40-50 hours per week, with additional hours as needed.Benefits Competitive pay Paid vacation Paid holidays Health insurance Profit sharing Career advancement opportunities Essential Functions Monitor, feed, water, ventilate, and observe the general health of the birds Move through cage and cage-free systems to observe bird behavior and conditions Make repairs and adjustments to feeders, water lines, ventilation, egg collection, manure scrapers, and belt systems Catch loose birds within cage systems as needed Gather egg samples per house for weekly quality control checks Clean all areas of production as required Complete other duties as assigned Job Requirements Ability to work in warm, dusty environments Ability to work in environments with manure and ammonia odors Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.throughout the house/barn Ability to use ladders, steps, and railings on cage systems Ability to detect, assess, and communicate bird health concerns Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online.Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $16.50 per hour Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance On-the-job training Paid time off Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location:In person.
