Job Description
Position Summary Paulson's Motorsports is looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Sales Associate with strong Personal Watercraft (PWC) experience to join our team.This role will play a key part in driving PWC sales while also selling motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, trailers, and related accessories.The ideal candidate has experience with the boating or powersports lifestyle, understands the unique needs of PWC customers, and can confidently guide customers through the buying process from initial conversation through delivery.This individual should be highly motivated, relationship-driven, and capable of creating an exceptional customer experience while maximizing dealership profitability.This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced dealership environment with strong earning potential and opportunities for long-term growth.Core Responsibilities:Serve as a primary sales resource for Personal Watercraft customers, including new and pre-owned units.Educate customers on PWC models, features, ownership considerations, towing requirements, storage, accessories, and maintenance.Assist customers in selecting the right unit for their riding style, family needs, and budget.Sell across all major dealership categories, including PWCs, motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, and trailers.Promote related accessories, apparel, trailers, storage solutions, and protection products to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.Stay current on OEM programs, rebates, financing options, and product knowledge across all product categories.Sales & Profitability:Maximize dealership profitability while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.Advise on financing solutions and value-added products throughout the sales process.Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities throughout the customer experience.Prospect into the dealership's customer base to generate repeat business, referrals, and additional sales opportunities.Assist with promotional ideas and seasonal sales initiatives, particularly around the PWC market.Customer Experience:Greet customers promptly and professionally while building rapport naturally.Ask thoughtful, open-ended questions to understand customer goals, experience level, and intended use.Deliver a relaxed, informative, and enjoyable buying experience.Actively listen for buying signals and confidently handle objections.Maintain accurate CRM notes, traffic logs, and follow-up activity.Answer incoming calls professionally and convert inquiries into showroom visits and appointments.Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward positive resolutions.Sales Process Execution:Guide customers to the appropriate unit based on their needs and preferences.Present features and benefits in a positive, meaningful, and customer-focused manner.Encourage customer engagement by having customers sit on units and interact with products.Complete all worksheets, write-ups, and required documentation accurately and professionally.Recognize buying signals and confidently ask for the sale.Coordinate closely with the F&I Manager to ensure a seamless transaction process.Collaborate with the Parts & Accessories Department to maximize add-on sales opportunities.Dealership Operations Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom and display areas.Update sales boards, tracking systems, and customer follow-up records as required.Participate in dealership meetings and maintain strong working relationships across departments.Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and market trends within the PWC and powersports industries.Assist with general showroom housekeeping and dealership presentation standards.Qualifications Previous powersports, marine, boating, or PWC sales experience strongly preferred.Strong understanding of Personal Watercraft products, customers, and ownership experience.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build trust and rapport with customers quickly.Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.Self-motivated, goal-driven, and coachable.Positive attitude and professional appearance.Passion for powersports, boating, and outdoor recreation.Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary and commission Strong earning potential with performance incentives Employee discounts on products and services Opportunities for advancement and long-term career growth Supportive, team-oriented dealership environment Ongoing OEM and product training Why Join Paulson's Motorsports?
