About The Role Are you seeking a dynamic environment where your growth is nurtured and your creativity is valued? Moxie Communications Group is looking for an experienced Account Manager to lead multiple account teams in developing and executing strategic PR campaigns across a mix of B2B and consumer technology clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with passionate professionals dedicated to building impactful campaigns for both emerging brands and established market leaders. The ideal candidate will possess over five years of public relations experience within an agency setting, with at least two years managing teams and client relationships. The role is open to candidates based in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, California, Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Washington, D.C. Moxie operates as a remote-first organization, with optional office access in New York City and Los Angeles for those who prefer an in-office environment. As an Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping client narratives, managing teams, and driving strategic initiatives that elevate brand visibility and influence. Qualifications 5+ years of public relations experience in an agency environment, handling a diverse portfolio of clients across consumer and/or B2B technology sectors Minimum of 2 years managing multiple teams and client accounts simultaneously Proven success in securing media coverage across business, consumer, trade, and technology press outlets Strong network of media contacts across traditional and emerging platforms including Substack, podcasts, YouTube, etc. Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven mindset with excellent organizational skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different media verticals Collaborative attitude with a passion for mentorship and continuous learning Experience leading thought leadership initiatives such as conferences, awards, contributed content, and op-eds is preferred Experience with influencer marketing and affiliate programs is a plus but not mandatory Responsibilities Develop and oversee comprehensive PR and thought leadership strategies for over five clients, including messaging, media outreach, and campaign execution Lead and manage teams of 4-7 professionals, guiding both tactical execution and professional development Build and nurture strong client relationships, providing ongoing strategic counsel and serving as the primary point of contact Generate big-picture story ideas and inspire creative thinking within the team Leverage and maintain key media relationships, owning specific outlets and contacts to secure coverage Coordinate and staff journalist interviews to maximize media exposure Review and provide actionable feedback on press releases, pitches, conference submissions, awards, and other materials Act as a leader within the agency, contributing to growth initiatives, mentoring team members, and managing workload distribution Participate in new business development efforts, including client pitches and proposal development Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans through national provider networks, effective from the first month of employment 401(k) retirement plan
