About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled PR Manager to join our team and elevate HeyGen’s reputation as a leader in AI-driven video technology. This full-time contractor role offers the opportunity to shape our narrative within the broader AI and technology communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing high-impact media coverage, positioning our founders and leadership as industry thought leaders, and crafting compelling stories around product launches, company milestones, and industry trends. Collaborating closely with the marketing team and executive leadership, you will develop strategic outreach initiatives to increase brand visibility and influence in the AI ecosystem. This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and is ideal for a proactive, media-savvy professional with a passion for technology and startups. There is also potential for this position to transition into a full-time role as the company’s communications function expands. Qualifications 5–8 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or communications, preferably within the technology or AI sectors Proven track record of securing tier-1 media placements and high-impact coverage Strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influential media outlets covering AI, startups, and technology Exceptional storytelling, writing, and communication skills Experience working in fast-paced startup environments with a proactive attitude Familiarity with AI tools for research, content creation, and media analysis Ability to craft compelling narratives around product launches, company news, and industry trends Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influential media outlets covering AI, startups, and technology sectors Develop and pitch story ideas to secure media coverage in tier-1 outlets and leading AI/tech publications Identify and leverage compelling angles related to product launches, industry developments, and cultural moments Position HeyGen’s founders and executives as thought leaders through interviews, podcasts, and speaking engagements Coordinate and lead PR efforts around product announcements, partnerships, and company milestones, including embargo management and media outreach Collaborate with product marketing teams to translate product updates into engaging media stories Identify opportunities for awards, recognitions, and industry rankings, and oversee submission processes Monitor media coverage and analyze share of voice to enhance HeyGen’s presence in the AI conversation Develop and execute strategies to increase visibility and influence within the AI-powered video category Benefits Competitive base salary ranging from $12,000 to $18,000 per month Full-time contractor role with potential for full-time employment as the team grows Opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company at the forefront of AI innovation Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options Collaborative and dynamic work environment with a talented team of professionals Professional development opportunities within a rapidly expanding industry Equal Opportunity HeyGen is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and applicants.
