Saint Louis, Missouri Clinical Services and Support Days Full-Time 108304 STL1-E34 $63,024.00 – $102,627.20 / year (Salary or hourly rate is based on job qualifications and relevant work experience) Job Description Additional Information About the Role BJC is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to support our Behavioral Health Psychiatry Team across multiple clinical locations. This is a unique, highly visible role responsible for rounding between five outpatient clinics , providing leadership support to staff, and ensuring operational excellence across all sites. Working closely with Medical and Operational leadership, the Practice Manager will lead a team of psychiatric providers including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and residents, serving as a trusted leader who is comfortable engaging directly with providers, nurses, and support staff. This role drives performance improvement by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and taking timely, data-driven action to improve outcomes. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, including nursing, pharmacy, patient access, therapy, and community support services. Flexibility to travel between clinic locations as needed is essential. Experience with Epic and healthcare payment systems is strongly preferred. Overview BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Operates at the HSO level, and is responsible for the management of multiple practice locations with over 35 providers. Responsible for the day to day operational and clinical flow management of all Behavioral Health locations. Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. Interacts and collaborates regularly with providers to provide direction and oversight of effective schedules, efficient clinic work flow and client flow, establishing and maintaining a cooperative, relationship of trust with providers. Brings significant concerns to the Medical Director. Coordinates daily rounding for facilitation of client flow as well as client and provider satisfaction. Available for immediate and timely response to barriers or obstacles to daily workflows. Develops a staffing plan that meets both customer expectations and financial constraints. Creates an environment where employee engagement and feedback facilitates positive change.
