Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDay in the LifeAs a Precision Tooling Machinist in Little Rock, AR 72212, you’ll start your day reviewing engineering prints and mapping out how to turn those specifications into robust, accurate tools and fixtures. From there, you’ll move to the shop floor to set up and run lathes, mills, and grinders, shaping components to tight tolerances. You’ll collaborate with engineers and production teammates to fine-tune designs, document every revision, and keep a keen eye on quality. Throughout the week, you’ll also service and repair tooling and equipment so everything runs at peak performance—and you’ll do it all with a strong safety mindset and a tidy, organized workspace. What You’ll Handle Create custom tools and fixtures that meet engineering requirements and production needs. Operate machining equipment—lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders—to produce precision parts. Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on tools and shop equipment to sustain reliability. Work alongside engineers and production staff to diagnose and resolve tooling challenges. Record and track tool designs, changes, and maintenance actions with thorough, accurate documentation. Uphold safety procedures and maintain a clean, efficient work area. What You’ll Bring High school diploma or GED; additional trade schooling or certification in machining/toolmaking is preferred. Hands-on experience as a Tool Maker or comparable role within a manufacturing setting. Confidence reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. Strong command of machining processes, materials, and tooling methods. Ability to work independently and collaboratively; strong troubleshooting abilities.
