About the Role As a Precision Tooling Specialist, you will be instrumental in transforming complex engineering designs into high-performance manufacturing solutions. By leveraging your expertise in manual machining and metrology, you will ensure that every build meets exact tolerances, directly impacting the efficiency and quality of our production cycles. Responsibilities Construct custom jigs and fixtures by interpreting detailed blueprints, 3D CAD models, and GD&T specifications. Utilize precision measurement instruments to establish accurate reference points and tooling holes for complex assemblies. Maintain and refurbish existing tooling to extend equipment lifecycles and optimize manufacturing performance. Operate manual machine tools, including lathes, Bridgeport mills, and surface grinders, to fabricate components to precise requirements. Develop and document fabrication sketches to streamline the assembly process and ensure project consistency. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot tooling challenges and implement effective design improvements. Qualifications Required Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience in precision jig and fixture fabrication. Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and GD&T. Expertise in manual machining operations including mills, lathes, and grinders. Strong command of hand metrology tools and precision measurement techniques. U.S. citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status required. Preferred Skills Demonstrated ability to translate 3D CAD models into physical tooling components. Strong mathematical aptitude for complex geometric calculations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
