Duties Prepare ingredients and components for daily menu items, following established recipes and portion sizes Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling dishes Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards Support the kitchen team in cooking and plating dishes efficiently during service hours Handle food items safely, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients needed for upcoming meals or catering events Follow all health department regulations and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment Skills Experience working in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or food industry settings Knowledge of menu planning and meal assembly processes Excellent knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary techniques Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation standards Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment Previous kitchen experience in catering or food service is a plus Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a real difference!
