Job Description
Summary of Position:Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment.Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.During your shift you may be required to take direction from either the MIC or GM.At times, a non-manager, such as a kitchen lead, may be assigned shift control and you will be expected to follow their direction.Essential Functions:Prep produce, sauces, cheese and meats for the shift.Load, run and unload dish machine.Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.Keep dish room clean and organized.Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times.Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.Clean food preparation and production areas as required.Complete all assigned station side work duties and checklists.Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.Be ready and willing to assist prep cooks and line cooks as needed.Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the MIC.Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:HS Diploma or equivalent 18 years of age (21 where required by law) Have the necessary stamina to work on feet for up to 10 hours including stooping, reaching, bending, twisting and lifting/carrying loads up to 50 lbs.Be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and respectfully in the predominant language of our guests and team No previous restaurant experience required.Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.Pay:$17.00 - $18.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) matching Employee discount Work Location:In person.
