Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This versatile role involves preparing and cooking food, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and supporting the overall food service operations. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist with menu planning to ensure efficient kitchen operations Cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Handle food with proper safety and sanitation practices, including proper storage and handling of ingredients Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cookware Support catering events and special meal preparations as needed Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies Follow all health department regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred; restaurant or culinary experience is a plus Knowledge of dietary department procedures and menu planning is advantageous Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude Experience in catering or serving is beneficial but not required Culinary training or dietary aide experience is considered an asset This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the food industry to grow their culinary skills while contributing to a welcoming dining environment.
