Starting pay for this job depends on experience but not less than $16.50 per hour with raises available for motivated workers! This job requires you to work 35-40 hours per week. Work days for this position could be any weekday but every Saturday and Sunday are REQUIRED WORK DAYS. If English is your first language, you must be able to speak "Kitchen Spanish" fluently. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS JOB UNLESS YOU CAN BE THERE FOR EVERY ASSIGNED SHIFT! 1431 Café is a diner so you must already know how to prep diner-style food to be successful in this job. 1431 Café in Cedar Park is looking for an experienced prep cook to prepare food according to our tried & true recipes and techniques. Prep cook duties consist of prepping our entire menu components, keeping everything clean and safe, labelling all prepared food containers, cracking eggs, slicing meats, making bread, panning biscuits & bacon plus other duties, as assigned. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our menu, customer satisfaction and sales goals. Our prep cook shifts are typically from 700a - 230p daily, though your exact hours will vary depending on our scheduling needs and how busy we are. We open at 6:30a and close at 3:00p seven days a week. You must be flexible and willing to perform whatever tasks we assign, including prep and cleaning. We are open from 630a - 300p seven days a week and YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK AT LEAST TWO WEEKDAYS PER WEEK PLUS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY EVERY WEEK.
