Job Summary Wowee Zowee Pizza is looking for a prep Lead. We make everything in this pizzeria in-house and are looking for a solid addition to the team. 28-35 hours per week. We are a smalll but very dedicated team who are looking to grow this business. Responsibilities Oversee daily food preparation activities, ensuring all ingredients are prepped according to recipes and safety standards. Lead the kitchen team in meal prep, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients for pizza making and other menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, adhering to food safety protocols at all times. Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and prep needs for upcoming shifts. Support food handling procedures, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders during busy hours. Uphold high standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation throughout all prep activities. Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments with kitchen experience. Knowledge of food handling practices, safety regulations, and proper knife skills. Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team effectively under pressure. Familiarity with food industry standards related to serving, food safety, and kitchen operations. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new techniques and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
