Overview Imagination Island Child Development Center is looking for a warm, dependable, and energetic Preschool Teacher to join our team! We are seeking someone who loves working with children, works well with others, and can help create a positive and engaging classroom environment. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of preschool or childcare experience required DCF training hours preferred Reliable and punctual Positive attitude and strong communication skills Ability to work well in a team environment Passion for early childhood education Help us make a meaningful impact on children’s lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, and developmental activities. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment that encourages cooperation, respect, and curiosity among children. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and early childhood development milestones. Help organize classroom materials, set up learning stations, and ensure a safe and clean environment conducive to active learning. Work closely with children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, providing individualized support as directed by the lead teacher. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative and transparent educational atmosphere. Assist in documenting children’s progress and behavior management strategies Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
