Preschool Assistant Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Infant and Preschool Assistant Teacher.In this role, you will contribute to the creation of a nurturing and stimulating environment for our learners, working closely with the Lead Teacher to support the growth and development of children.As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a crucial part in fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere, incorporating the values and principles of Christianity into everyday educational experiences.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with the Lead Teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities, lessons, and routines.Support classroom activities that address the physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual development of all children.Interact positively with children, remaining open to guidance from the Lead Teacher regarding child interactions.Support children's spiritual growth in everyday interaction Assist in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.Contribute to organization and cleanliness, including setting up learning centers and participating in daily cleaning tasks.Support the Lead Teacher in continuously monitoring and documenting children's progress and behaviors.Foster positive partnerships with families through open and positive communication.Share daily activities with families through platforms like Brightwheel.Greet families during daily drop-off and pick-up times.Adhere to safety protocols, licensing regulations, and center policies to ensure the well-being of children and staff.Communicate issues promptly Qualifications:Minimum age of eighteen years.High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of EQEL within 36 months of hire and 20 hours of continuing education every three years thereafter.ECE initial certificate or equivalent within two years of hire or promotion.With opportunities to pursue education in the early childhood field up to a bachelor's degree at no cost.Completion of applicable pre-service requirements, pursuant to WAC 110-300-0105 Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.must be able to kneel, bend, squat, and sit on the floor with children.Ability to stand for extended periods.Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in emergency situations.Shift hours:9:15 am to 6:15 pm with an hour lunch break and two 15-minute breaks Monday-Friday If you are interested in working for a small Christian Early Learning Center focused on teamwork and the growth of children, we invite you to apply.Join us in creating a positive and impactful learning environment for our young learners.Apply today!
