Preschool Co-Teacher – 3-Year-Old Classroom Full-Time | The Goddard School – Independence, OH Do you love the preschool age where children are curious, chatty, funny, independent, and still learning how to navigate big feelings, friendships, routines, and classroom expectations? The Goddard School in Independence is looking for a warm, dependable, experienced Preschool Co-Teacher to join our 3-year-old classroom. This is a co-teaching position, which means you will work alongside another teacher to create a classroom that is safe, structured, engaging, and full of meaningful learning. We are looking for someone who understands that preschool teaching is more than activities and art projects. It is helping children build confidence, communication skills, independence, social-emotional growth, and school-readiness skills every day. What You’ll Do As a Preschool Co-Teacher, you will help create a classroom where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Responsibilities may include Co-leading a classroom of 3-year-old children Helping implement age-appropriate lessons, activities, and routines Supporting children with social skills, independence, problem-solving, and emotional regulation Creating a calm, consistent, and positive classroom environment Engaging children in stories, songs, art, sensory play, hands-on learning, and purposeful play Partnering with your co-teacher to manage transitions, classroom flow, and daily responsibilities Maintaining strong supervision and safety practices at all times Communicating kindly and professionally with families Helping with classroom cleanliness, organization, documentation, and daily routines Following school policies, Ohio licensing rules, and best practices for early childhood education What We’re Looking For We are looking for a teacher who is patient, loving, consistent, and confident with preschool-aged children. A strong candidate will have: Experience working in a licensed childcare or preschool setting A genuine love for working with 3-year-olds Patience, warmth, and strong classroom management skills The ability to work well as part of a co-teaching team A positive, dependable, and flexible attitude Strong communication skills with children, families, and coworkers Comfort supporting children with potty routines, independence, and social-emotional development An understanding of safety, supervision, and age-appropriate expectations Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: In person
